Movement and activity: help your child find what works
Some children are always moving. Others avoid PE, clubs and anything that feels like exercise. Both can leave a parent wondering whether they should encourage more activity, ease off or find a completely different way in.

Movement can support health, sleep, confidence and concentration, but it is not a treatment and it does not affect every child in the same way. A run may help one child feel ready for homework. Another may come back hot, overloaded and less able to cope. The useful question is not, "How do I make my child exercise?" It is, "What kind of movement feels possible and worthwhile for this child?"
