How support is organised in Fife

Ask the headteacher or named contact for a written plan that connects each barrier with a response. Check the frequency, staff role, intended result and review date. If a specialist placement is being considered, ask what evidence informs that discussion and how the child's and family's views will be included.

For health referrals, record the receiving service, referral date and any information requested. If an appointment is elsewhere in Fife, consider travel and time away from school before agreeing a recurring pattern. Do not pause reasonable school adjustments while waiting for a separate health decision.
